A crown restores a damaged or missing tooth to its normal shape, size and function. A crown can protect the teeth or improve its aesthetic and function.

What are the types of Crowns ?

Dental crown types are : gold crowns,,porcelain fused-to-metal crowns, zirconia crowns,

E-max  llithium disicilate crowns

What are the most preferred crown types ?

The most preferred crown types today are zirconium and E-max crowns

What is Zirconia ?

In zirconia treatment method ; aesthetic, naturalness and function are provided together, white zirconium is used instead of gray metal as infrastructure.

It is important for us that Zirconium crowns are natural enough to be preferred on the front teeth and strong enough to be used on the back teeth. Zirconia crowns do not allow light to pass, unlike natural teeth and porcelain. They are preferred in molars located in the posterior region, which carry more load and are less aesthetically important due to their mechanical strength.

What is Emax ?

E-max is an all-ceramic type of crown that gives excellent aesthetic results. Although they give the most natural appearance on the front teeth, E-max crowns are not a suitable option for load-bearing areas such as molar teeth.

What is the different between a Veneer and a Crown ?

The main difference is that a veneer covers only the front of your tooth and a crown covers the entire tooth. A veneer is a very thin layer of porcelain or other material that is adhered to the front of your existing tooth. A crown is about 2 mm thick and covers the entire tooth.

How long do dental crowns last ?

Dental crowns last between 5 and 20 years. The life span of a crown depends on the amount of wear and tear the crown takes, how well you follow oral hygiene procedures, and your personal mouth-related habits.
